weather patterns

Lord, there will be storms
cold will not displace
heat without a
war
and summer
will not be usurped,
or give o'er her kingdom
without a fight.

The nip of a new season
bites our face,
with careless
concupiscence,
lascivious lover
that she is.

Hidden in sunshine,
the autumn wind
surreptitiously
sneaks into the
flowering goldenrod,
black-eyed susans,
and cornflowers,
whispering of
their imminent
end
