haikus for the single woman

I am a
strong
independent
stick of butter.
I live on my own.

Not in a pack of four. The fridge is my kingdom.
My armor is strong.

Nothing will melt me.
Toasters,
ovens, microwaves, or sun.
All futile.

Structural integrity is not my
strong suit.
It's easy to melt.

Melting is painful and ruins
the purity
of grade A butter.

Give me the fridge.
Give me my armor
Keep cold,
shunning
heat.
I
am safe.
